I was just sitting here reflecting on growing up during the 60’s and 70’s. I remember how close neighborhoods were and how people would help their neighbors. I also remember how integration changed all that (we can discuss this in a later post). I also remember the white and colored signs. Sitting on one side
I have been working on this website trying to get it ready by June 19th, 2012. As I thought about it I was like “what does Juneteenth mean to me. I know that that is when the slaves in Texas found out they were free. Now it has spread around the nation in 36 states.
